When you ask us for a quote, you trust us with things like your name, phone number and address. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect, why we need it, who sees it and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Move Clean Fix provides removals, man and van, cleaning and handyman services across London, Croydon, Surrey and the surrounding areas. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website and when you deal with us directly. You can get in touch about anything on this page using the message form on our homepage, or by replying to any message we've sent you.

What we collect

We only ask for what we need to give you an accurate quote and do the job well:

• Your contact details: name, mobile number, email address and how you'd like us to contact you.
• Job details: collection and delivery postcodes or addresses, property type, floors, access and parking, the items or rooms involved, the date you'd like and anything else you tell us about the job.
• Photos and videos you choose to send us so we can see what's involved.
• Messages you send us through the website, by phone, WhatsApp or email.
• Payment records if you book with us, such as amounts paid and dates. We don't store card details on this website.

Please don't send us sensitive information (for example about health) unless it genuinely matters for the job, such as needing extra help on moving day.

How we use it, and why we're allowed to

• To reply to you and prepare your quote. You've asked us for a price, so we use your details to take that step before any agreement.
• To carry out the job you book, including arranging dates, turning up at the right address and contacting you on the day. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
• To keep business and tax records, because the law requires it.
• To look after our business, for example dealing with questions or complaints after a job and keeping the website secure. These are our legitimate interests, and we balance them against your rights.

We won't send you marketing messages unless you've told us you'd like them, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it with the people and services that help us run the business:

• Wix, which hosts this website and securely stores the quote requests you send.
• The apps we use to talk to you, such as WhatsApp, email and phone providers, when you choose to contact us that way.
• Anyone working on your job with us, who only receives what they need to do it.
• Our accountant, insurers or professional advisers, where needed.
• Police, courts or regulators, but only if the law requires us to.

Some of these services may store information outside the UK. Where that happens, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

• If you ask for a quote but don't book, we delete your details within 12 months.
• If you book a job, we keep the records for 6 years after the job, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
• Photos you send for a quote are deleted once they're no longer needed for the quote or the job.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
• correct anything that's wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information, where we don't need to keep it;
• limit how we use it, or object to us using it;
• send your information to you or another business in a usable format.

Just get in touch and we'll respond within one month. It's free in most cases. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

Our website host, Wix, may set a small number of essential cookies that the site needs to work properly and securely. We don't use advertising cookies. If we add analytics or other optional cookies in future, we'll update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Keeping your information safe

Quote requests are sent over a secure connection and stored in a private system that only we can access. We limit who can see your details to the people who need them for your job.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time, for example if we add new services or tools. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
